Meet Madelyn & Our Training Environment
Hi, I’m Madelyn, the proud founder of K9 805, a dog training and pet care service dedicated to providing dogs with the structure, enrichment, and individualized attention they deserve. Based on California’s beautiful Central Coast, K9 805 is located on 80 private acres in near Paso Robles, offering a calm, controlled environment that supports both learning and overall well-being.
Dogs in our care are kept inside my home in size-appropriate crates or indoor kennels only, this is not a chaotic kennel facility. Our home-style setting is intentionally designed to reduce stress and create a cozy, predictable environment where dogs can rest, decompress, and focus on learning. We keep our numbers low to ensure quality care, minimize stress, and provide each dog with individualized attention and consistent handling. Attention to detail matters here, and every dog’s daily routine is thoughtfully structured to set them up for success.
With over 6 years of professional experience, I bring a well-rounded background in dog training, handling, and competition. My experience includes conformation show handling, training and competing in multiple canine sports such as WDA, NACSW, PSA, IGP, and AS, as well as hands-on work at a Board & Train facility on the East Coast and within animal shelters. This diverse background has allowed me to work with a wide range of breeds, ages, and temperaments, ensuring each dog’s unique needs are met.
I am an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and a proud member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, committed to ethical training practices and building strong, trusting relationships between dogs and their owners. In addition to training, K9 805 offers in-home boarding, day training, pack projects, and enrichment outings, including beach trips, scenic nature hikes, and structured field experiences that keep dogs mentally and physically fulfilled.
